Day 4- Final day on The Music Boat 2009!

I woke this morning with a bit of sadness knowing this was the final day of the Music Boat. There was so much great food, concerts, new friends, and food! Since we were at sea the entire day I took it pretty easy. I really didn't do much until lunch during which I ran into Bello who happens to be a world famous circus clown. My question is not how he does his hair, but more like how does he have the energy to actually do it like that everyday? I heard a rumor Bello might be coming to The Music Boat 2010 to perform some crazy circus tricks? Maybe walk a tight rope across the Lido deck pool filled with sharks! Later in the day I hung out with my pal Toddie Funk who plays bass for Toby Mac. He just looks so cool at all times. I was hoping he would give me some lessons on "coolness" because I sure need it. We did a little filming for another Premier event taking place this summer called Camp Electric (campelectric.com). We made a quick mini-instructional bass film for the camp kids. Watch for it!

Then during the afternoon I actually had to do some work. We had a stateroom door decorating contest. I had the job of walking by every stateroom door on all decks (1-10) to take a picture of all entries and ultimately pick the winner. Congratulations to Gregory Naze and family for decorating the winning door. They cut out hundreds of pictures of every artist and speaker performing and had a "Where's Waldo" type theme. We liked their door because of the time put into cutting out so many pictures and piecing them together. There were so many great and creative doors it was really hard to choose. I want to give special attention to the worst decorated door. Check it out below! Thank you to everybody who entered. Start thinking of your door decoration theme for 2010! Check the Music Boat message board soon to view ALL the door contest entries.

Tonight I enjoyed in my opinion the best dinner(s) of the cruise. I had the leg of lamb entree and the chicken marsala. Of course I had to swing two desserts again. Oh, back to cooking my own food. I am really going to miss the food AND the towel dogs the clean up staff would leave on my bed everyday. I am glad they were potty trained. In the main theater I listened to a powerful massage by David Nasser basically saying that we as Christians do not do nearly enough to make the world take notice. He mentioned that if some small percent of Christians adopted a child there would be no orphaned kids in the world and that would make the world gasp. Following Mr. Nasser were the boys in Mercy Me playing the hits. What made this cruise special for me was hanging out with all the other artists whom I have played shows with for years. Later in the evening I enjoyed an ice cream with Bart from Mercy Me. Got to chat with Matthew West for a bit. He is amazing by the way. Check out his music. The Music Boat ended with a final surprise concert in the atrium featuring The Katinas, Jars of Clay, and closing it out was Matthew West and his "cruise" song. The Royal Caribbean people said it wad the largest crowd for any concert or event in the atrium. I truly had a great time on The Music Boat and I am looking forward to many more cruises with Premier Christian Concerts. If you were on the cruise please post about your experience here and on our message board. We would love to hear from you and see your pictures. Hope to see you on another Premier Christian Cruise soon!

Peace, Kalel
